Whilst studying for my Level 3 Practical Horticulture at Broomfield college we had the opportunity to design & build a show garden at Gardeners' World Live. In collaboration with Mike Baldwin, the course lecturer, and my fellow students I designed and project managed the build of this show garden.

The Restoration Garden.
The inspiration behind the garden was to celebrate the work of the sponsor Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust in the restoration of Wingfield station.
The garden encapsulated the restoration using two design themes: One showing the dereliction with wild naturalistic planting contrasting with a second more structured and contemporary area representing the completed restoration.
The station façade is the backdrop to the garden. This also shows the before and after aspects, with the boarded-up windows, damaged roof, and graffiti on one side contrasting with a representation of the restored building other side.
