A Japanese themed garden
The client wanted a garden with a distinctly Japanese feel, so the design draws on a number of elements found in traditional Japanese gardens.
An irregular stone path meanders through the garden, inspired by the paths found in traditional tea gardens. Three carefully positioned standing stones represent the Buddhist Trinity Stones, while Japanese acers and foliage plants create a calm, cool palette of greens.
A traditional-style red bridge provides a focal point as it crosses the pond, adding both colour and a sense of movement to the garden.
